A few years ago, a friend of Kathi's asked her if she would help care for the wildlife animals at her facility. Kathi was hesitant at first but she decided to do it. She absolutely fell in love with caring for the animals and found it helped with her own recovery from health issues. As Kathi become stronger, she realized that she wanted to help the animals as much as they had helped her. She has been caring for injured and orphaned animals ever since.
