Lorelei rescued kittens then realized she really wanted to help animals that didn't require adopting. She turned to wildlife and began volunteering, and now she's the only wildlife rehabber within 35 miles of her home. She loves to care for tiny wildlife babies, and to see them grow to full release stage. It makes her happy, even though it may be tiring at times. Lorelei says that it's like having a baby, lots of pain and so much happiness. Now in her 60’s, she says that it’s more than a hobby. The animals give her something to nurture.
